Competitions mark World Photography Day event

Imphal, August 19 2024: Imphal Smart City Limited celebrated World Photography Day with a series of events including a painting and an online photography competitions at the City Convention Centre, here, on Monday to promote creativity and community engagement among the city's youth.

The celebration was attended by MAHUD commissioner and Imphal Smart City Limited director M Joy, and Imphal Smart City Limited CEO Harikumar as chief guest and president respectively.

The painting competition participated by over 100 students from various schools in Imphal was divided into two categories: Class 3-6 themed "Colouring My Dream City: Imphal," and Class 7-10, on the theme "Imagining My Perfect City: Imphal" .

The top three winners in each category were presented cash prizes of Rs 2000, Rs 1500, and Rs 1000, along with certificates while 10 participants received consolation prizes of Rs 500 in each category.

Meanwhile, the results of online photography competition, themed "An Entire Day," were announced on the social media handles of Imphal Smart City Limited.

The competition received widespread interest, with participants capturing the essence of Imphal through their lens.

The top three winners received cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000, and Rs 2000 respectively, along with certificates.

Additionally, five consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each were awarded to recognise outstanding entries.

The events were organised as part of Imphal Smart City's ongoing efforts to inspire and nurture talents in the city, offering young artists and photographers a platform to showcase their skills.
