Senapati, August 10 2025:
Social worker Daphya Ripao Kyapaomai of Phuba Thapham village, known for his generosity in Senapati district, passed away at Babina Hospital, Imphal, on Saturday night.
Daphya Ripao Kyapaomai (1981-2025) was born to Kyapaomai Siile Daphya and Bane.
His father's death in 2018 not only left him devastated but firmed his resolve to work for the welfare of the Poumai Naga community.
He was also an advisor cum incumbent executive member of the Development Agency for Social Justice & Rural Empowerment, a registered NGO.
He took initiative in organising various developmental programmes for ST students and Women.
Daphya Ripao was known for his benevolence towards the people and helped the flood victims with financial assistance and other essential commodities in Senapati district.
During the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, he provided various essential commodities to different Covid Community Centres.
Above all, he was known for his generosity to donate and assist in different programmes in the district.
Senapati CSOs organised a condolence service at Senapati town traffic point junction in remembrance of the late leader.
Karong MLA Kumo Sha accompanied the mortal remains of the late leader from Imphal and stated that Daphya Ripao Kyapaomai will be remembered for his humanitarian service to the people and good deeds.
Meanwhile, Senapati District Women Association (SDWA), Poumai Naga Union, Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM) and Poumai Naotumai Me (PNM) extended their condolences on the sudden and untimely demise of Daphya Ripao Kyapaomai.
