RIMSAM 2025 kicks off with grandeur

The inauguration ceremony of RIMSAM (RIMS Annual Meet) organised by Regional Institute of Medical Sciences Students' Union (RIMSSU) was held on Saturday at RIMS Ground, here.
According to a RIMS Media Cell press release, the event was inaugurated by RIMS director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma as chief guest in the presence of RIMSSU staff advisor Prof S Rani-ta Devi as president, and RIMSSU staff advisor Prof S Subhaschandra Singh, RIMS College of Nursing principal Prof H Jamuna Devi, Dental College principal Prof B Praveen Reddy, MS Prof N Sanjib Singh, and dean (Academic) Prof Th Meera as the guests of honour.
The inaugural function began with a torch relay, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony and march-past by the participating contingents.
Speaking at the event, Prof G Sunil emphasised the core values of fair play and environmental consciousness, while appreciating the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty.
He urged everyone to support the plastic-free campus initiative, stressing the vital link between environmental and human health.
RIMSAM, he noted, is more than just an event.
It is a platform to showcase talent, celebrate cultural diversity, and build lasting bonds.
The event reflects RIMS' holistic approach to development, combining academic excellence with fitness, creativity, and social responsibility, he stated.
The RIMSSU team expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support in making the inauguration a grand success.
