Produce proof or face lawsuit: Dr M Dhanabir

Imphal, November 02 2024: Diabetes Healthcare and Research Centre managing director Dr Moirangthem Dhanabir has warned Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) to produce proof supporting their allegations against his medical degree within 20 days or face a lawsuit.

In a press meet held at the Diabetes Centre, Porompat on Saturday, Dhanabir expressed bewilderment on why the DESAM president is questioning his qualification as a doctor.

As such, he demanded proof proving that he is not a doctor Within 20 days, or he will take strict action and file a damage suit against DESAM.

Urging all to stop slandering others carelessly and taking the law into their hands, Dr Dhanabir revealed that he was abducted by unidentified armed persons some time ago and threatened against registering the Centre with his life.

In addition to this, the Centre had been threatened twice with bombs.

He continued that he can no longer tolerate all of these and urged the authority concerned to look into the matter.

Stating that operating a hospital is not an easy task, Dr Dhanabir urged all to stop the malice, adding that armed persons are preventing him from registering the Centre.

Nonetheless, he is trying to do so and said that DESAM would be held responsible if any unwanted situation were to befall upon him.
