MLA facilitates skill development programme

Imphal, April 27 2025: A comprehensive skill development programme, exclusively for Sagolband, organised by Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) under the supervision of MLA RK Imo Singh concluded on Saturday along with certificate distribution ceremony held at the private residence of the MLA.

A release issued by Ng Shashikanta Singh, PRO to MLA, informed that the programme covered a wide range of skill-based training, including soup making, lipstick making, resin art, baking (muffin cookies, donuts), and chocolate making.

Around 50 individuals, who successfully completed the training, were awarded the certificates of completion.

Speaking at the event, MLA RK Imo congratulated both the trainers and trainees for their dedication and hard work, encouraging them to continue their efforts consistently to excel as entrepreneurs.

He highlighted the core objective of organising the programme, stating that it aims to empower the youth and women of Sagolband, promote self-reliance, and build a strong local economy driven by skilled individuals.

"Our vision is to make Sagolband a model constituency where opportunities are created, skills are nurtured and entrepreneurship thrives," the MLA remarked.

He further assured full support in connecting the trainees with suitable government schemes to promote better growth, sustainability, and self-reliance.

The MLA also urged the participants to make the best use of any available opportunities to build a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem.
