District administrations observe Ayushman Bharat Diwas

CHURACHANDPUR: Ayushman Bharat Diwas, 2022 (celebration of 4 years of AB-PMJAY) was held at DTC Hall, Tuibong on Friday.
The event was organised by the Churachandpur district administration.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, deputy commissioner Sarath Chandra Arroju reminded that PMJAY provides health cover up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalization.
Acknowledging the achievement of the medical department, the DC sought public support in the implementation of the scheme for maximum benefit.
Meanwhile, chief medical officer Dr Kimngaihching Simte informed that 8059 persons have benefited from the scheme in the district which is to the tune of Rs 10,19,86,830.Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts together have 2,05,434 eligible beneficiaries out of which 70,144 have been verified and 1,35,290 yet to be.

The verified percentage of the two districts stands at 34per cent, she added.
Distribution of prizes and certificates to winners of district-level painting and slogan writing competition held on Thursday, and sharing of successful stories and taking a pledge in support of Ayushman Bharat marked the event.
ADC S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, who is also CMHT/PMJAY district nodal officer;.DLOs from different departments, CMHT/ PMJAY beneficiaries, students and medical staff attended the event.
Meanwhile, a free health & awareness camp with Dr Rajukumar Prakash (surgical oncology) will be organised by Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, Guwahati on September 27 and 28 at the Churachandpur district hospital's palliative care unit.
The CMO urged all known cancer patients or are undergoing cancer treatment to attend the health camp and avail of the service.
THOUBAL: The district administration organised Ayushman Bharat Diwas on Friday at Khongjom Standard English School with DC A Subhash Singh as the chief guest.
During his speech, A Subhash highlighted the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and informed that families who are genuinely from the economically weaker sections can apply for the scheme and get healthcare facilities up to Rs 5 lakh.
As part of the programme, a district level painting competition on the theme 'Ayushman Bharat, Health for All' for school students was held.
CMO Dr Y Nokul Singh also spoke on the importance and the facilities provided under the scheme.
Meanwhile, the 37th National Eye Donation Fortnight was observed at Heirok Higher Secondary.
The programme was organised by.
National Programme for Control of Blindness.& Visual Impairment, Thoubal district.
DC Subhash, CMO Dr Y Nokul and DFWO Dr Ksh Memcha Devi were the dignitaries present at the event.
PHERZAWL: Ayushman Bharat Diwas was celebrated at Jubilee Standard School, Parbung.
A district level slogan writing & painting competition on the theme 'Health Care System vis-a-vis Covid 19 Pandemic' was organised as part of the event.
A short video clip of 5 beneficiary success stories was also screened during the event which was also attended by 56 students from three schools.
The competition was categorised into junior (CL V-VII) and intermediate (CL VIII-X).
The district administration awarded cash incentives and certificates to the winners.
BISHNUPUR: District Health Society, Bishnupur under the aegis of the district administration on Friday observed Ayushman Bharat Diwas at Kyamba Ningshing Shanglen, Bishnupur.
Bishnupur DC Lourembam Bikram, SP N Herojit Meetei, and CMO Dr L Raichandra Singh attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
During his speech, DC Bikram said that the government launched PMJAY at the national level and CMHT for the state to cater to the healthcare needs of the economically vulnerable populations.
He informed that 6514 beneficiaries in the district have availed the benefits under the schemes since its launch in 2018.The DC continned that around 61,307 eligible families have been identified for PMJAY in the district out of which around 37,982 have been enrolled so far.
Expressing dissatisfaction on the current 62% PMJAY enrolment figure in the district, he urged the remaining 38% and all the eligible individuals to get themselves enrolled and avail of the benefits.
To create awareness on PMJAY, slogan writing and painting competitions were also conducted for school students.
Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners while special category participants also received special prizes.

KAKCHING: A district level painting competition on 'Ayushman Bharat Diwas' was organised on Friday at Junior High School, Kakching by the district administration and Zonal Education Office, Kakching.
About 109 students from different schools took part in the competition which was divided in two categories.
Cash prizes and certificates were distributed by the dignitaries to the first three winners of both categories during the Ayushman Bharat Diwas-2022 at DC office complex.
The deputy commissioner urged the public to avail of maximum benefits of the scheme.
As part of the programme, a video clip of PMJAY beneficiary success stories was screened with an aim to make the public aware of the benefits of the scheme.
