Representatives of Dhanamanjuri University Students' Union (DMUSU), Imphal called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at the Raj Bhavan on Friday to express their heartfelt gratitude for her prompt and decisive actions in facilitating the declaration of results for the direct recruitment of various posts at the University.
The students thanked the Governor for her unwavering support and commitment to welfare of the students and the overall development of the university.
Her timely intervention helped address key concerns and ensure a smooth recruitment process.
According to a Raj Bhavan release, the Governor assured the students of her commitment to addressing issues related to the students and the university.
A team of faculty members representing the DMU Selected Assistant Professor Association also met with Governor Anusuiya on Friday and thanked her for facilitating announcement of the results for the direct recruitment of various positions at Dhanamanjuri University.
The team also submitted a memorandum highlighting non-declaration of results for two subjects - Botany and Physics - and the reason behind the non-declaration.
They pointed out that while 75 out of 83 positions of assistant professor have been filled across various departments, eight selected assistant professors of Botany and Physics departments are yet to receive appointment letters.
The DMU faculty members requested the Governor to take the necessary steps to expedite the declaration of these results.
The Governor, in turn, assured them that she would look into the matter swiftly and take appropriate steps to address their concerns, added the PRO.
Meanwhile, Governor Anusuiya extended her heartfelt congratulations to Justice N Kotiswar Singh on his historic appointment as the first Supreme Court judge from Manipur.
