BJP leader meets relief camp kids

Manipur in-charge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dr Ajit Ghorpade visited Thangmeiband Khoyathong Tombisana High School relief camp and enquired about well-being of the displaced children from different places who are staying in the camp on Tuesday.
Dr Ghorpade was accompanied by Thangmeiband MLA Kh Joykisan during the visit with both distributing chocolates to the children displaced by the ongoing violence which broke out on May 3, 2023.The Manipur in-charge told media persons that his visit to the state is unrelated with politics but to enquire about the well-being of children displaced by the violence.
"Being a paediatrician, I want to help the suffering children and I am not a big politician either," he said, adding that children are the future of India and Manipur.
When functionaries of the relief camp informed him about shortage of cloths and study materials like exercise books and others, Dr Ajit Ghorpade assured of providing the same within 10 days and sought a list of the students.
He also assured of mounting pressure on Manipur government for providing 10 each sewing and weaving machines for women residents of the relief camp.
While stressing the need for resolving the ongoing violence, Dr Ajit Ghorpade said that people should share their thoughts and suggestions on resolving the crisis.
He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi thinks about Manipur all the time.
