UWC apprises public grievances to CM

Kangpokpi, December 21 2018:
The United Welfare Committee, Kangpokpi district has apprised Chief Minister N Biren Singh of the various pubic inconveniences including absence of toilet at various strategic passenger vehicles parking lots and the tremendous hardships faced by the people residing below the HT power line in between Kanglatongbi and Maram.
The United Welfare Committee submitted separate representations to Chief Minister N Singh yesterday highlighting the various public grievances and urged him to initiate immediate measures in the larger interest of the public.
The representations were signed by all the executives of the committee including its president Nehthang Kipgen and general secretary, Tonglen Khongsai.
Briefing media persons today at Kangpokpi DHQs, Nehthang Kipgen said that they highlighted the various public inconveniences due to the non-availability of public toilets and urged the Chef Minister to construct the needful public toilets at main stations where passenger vehicles stop.

ply through Imphal-Dimapur, Imphal-Mao, Imphal-Tamei, Imphal-Senapati and Imphal-Kangpokpi along National Highway-2.He said that on these routes thousands of passengers from Manipur and other States of India and even people from abroad travel everyday but there are no proper public toilets at some strategic parking lots.
In connection with the tremendous hardships faced by the people living below the HT power line between Kanglatongbi and Maram, the UWC president said that the existing HT power line between Kanglatongbi and Maram might be helpful for all but with the rapid growth of population it has become dangerous for the people living below the said power line.
He added that any form of cultivation and animal rearing could not be done in all the areas occupied by the HT Power line due to its strong current which not only become unsafe for the animals but also for humans.
