Medical camp conducted

Kakching Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp for Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen and locals at Kakching (Langmeidong)under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme, yesterday.
A dedicated and well qualified team of doctors and paramedical staff from Assam Rifles conducted the medical camp and provided medical checkup and treatment to the patients, said PRO, IGAR.
The ex-servicemen and their families, who needed the medical aid showed overwhelming response while a large number of ex-servicemen turned up for the medical camp.
A total of 312 patients including 120 ex-servicemen, 20 widows, 26 children of ex-servicemen and 146 locals were rendered See medical treatment and medicine during medical camp.
Apart from providing necessary medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education, hygiene and sanitation was also imparted.
Emergency medicines were also distributed to patients who were diagnosed with chronic diseases.
President ex-servicemen of Kakching and Sugnu Region, all ex-servicemen and their families and locals of the area expressed their deep gratitude to Assam Rifles for their continuous support in addressing social issues and uplifting the living standards of the populace in the North East.
