FCS Department has taken up stringent measures to prevent dealers in valley area from supplying oil at their respective retail outlets in containers with immediate effect from tomorrow.
According to an order issued by the Deputy Director of FCS today, supplying of oil by the dealers to the retail outlets in jerry cans or any other form of containers would not be allowed and necessary action would be taken up under the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act if anyone is found acting in defiance.
Moreover, supply of petroleum and other petroleum products to such dealers would be stopped from the following day.
However, for pillar tillers, rice mills, saw-mills and other domestic engines, required oil can be provided only after necessary documents are being shown, the order directed.
On the other hand, to ensure adequate supply of oil to the people tomorrow as well, the Oil Depot at Chingmeirong has reportedly released 168 KL of petrol to 23 different retail outlets today.
The retail outlets and the quantity of petrol issued to them are BE Enterprises at North AOC (12 KL), BB & Co (8 KL), DSLS & Co at Mantripukhri (4 KL), Ksh Beikul Singh (4 KL), Esteem Agro at Kongba ( 8 KL), Kusum Service Station at Palace Compound (4 KL), Porompat Service Station (8 KL), Motor Service Station at Moirang ( 4 KL), Ibochou Service Station at Kakwa (4 KL), Imphal Oil Agency at Chingmeirong (4 KL), Highway Service Station at Tera Bazar (4 KL), Jas Gas Station at Uripok (4 KL), K Nillo Singh at Langjing (8 KL), Khurai Service Station (4 KL), Konsam Oil Service located at Langthabal Kunja (8 KL), M/s Yumnam Oil Service at Wabagai (4 KL), Friendly Service Station at Angom Leikai ( 4 KL), PJ Petroleum Agency at Chingmeirong (8 KL), PCTC at Khuyathong (32 KL), Th Sorojini Devi Filling Station at Khangabok (4 KL), Tiddim Service Station (12 KL), Tuiboung Service Station at Churachandpur (4 KL) and Sukhan & Sons at Churachandpur (12 KL).
Meanwhile, in all 42 oil tankers have reportedly crossed Mao on their way to Imphal today while 21 others reached Kohima after crossing Zubja, the site where heavy landslides had occurred in Nagaland.
