Cong to take out Tiranga Jatra

Suspending all its normal activities, Congress party will take out a Tiranga Rally on Friday in solidarity with the armed forces of the country in the wake of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhavan, BT Road here today, MPCC senior spokesman N Bhupenda Meitei said that the AICC held a meeting yesterday and adopted a decision to hold Tiranga Jatra.
The AICC meeting deliberated on the air strikes carried out by India in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan itself in retribution to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.The meeting also deliberated on the escalating tension between India and Pakistan, Bhupenda said.
The decision adopted at the meeting participated by Indian National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and top party leaders including Rahul Gandhi was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Congress general secretary KC Venugopal.
The meeting decided to suspend all scheduled programmes of the party including Sangbidhan Bachao rally and take out Tiranga Jatra across the country on Friday.
In Manipur, MPCC would take out Tiranga Jatra from Congress Bhavan at 9 am tomorrow.
The jatra would be led by MPCC president K Meghachandra, he said.
Moreover, the Congress party would support all decisions and steps taken up by the Central Government, he added.
