Imphal, March 03 2025:
Taking strong exception to the leakage of Physics question paper of the ongoing Higher Secondary Examination 2025 being conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), the Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has demanded exemplary punishment for all the culprits.
According to SUK, the Physics question paper got leaked and was found circulated in several WhatsApp groups around 20 minutes before the exam started today.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon at their Wangkhei office, SUK general secretary Thingbaijam Tarun Khuman questioned if the COHSEM's Higher Secondary Exam 2025 is being held in a free and fair manner.
Whether exams are conducted by COHSEM or BOSEM, leakage of question papers is becoming a common occurrence, he said.
Even though many people were pulled up earlier in connection with cases of leaking question papers, cases of question leakage have been happening again and again, he said.
The wrongdoers have been committing the criminal act repeatedly as they were never awarded exemplary punishment but let off with a light punishment, Tarun remarked.
Highlighting the need for a strong deterrent, he urged the authorities concerned to award exemplary punishments to all such wrongdoers.
He further urged COHSEM to delve into the matter and initiate stronger actions against all those people involved in leaking the question paper.
If COHSEM fails to act, SUK will launch a strong movement and show that such acts of leaking exam questions cannot be tolerated, he added.
