President Pranab leads in greeting all on Sajibu Cheiraoba

On the eve of Sajibu Cheiraoba, which shall be celebrated on 11th April, President of India Pranab Mukherjee; Governor of Manipur Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh have extended greetings to all the people in Manipur.
In his greeting, Pranab Mukherjee extended warm greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens and exhorted that on this joyous occasion; let us resolve to share the happiness and joy with others.
"May the festival strengthen the bonds of amity and friendship among our people and foster peace, harmony and prosperity," the President added in a release from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Greeting the people, Gurbachan Jagat observed that we should adopt new resolutions for a better Manipur on the occasion of Sajibu Nongmapanba Cheiraoba (Manipuri New Year's Day.

"We should rededicate ourselves to renew our bonds of friendship, so that we all can live as brothers and sisters, irrespective of caste, creed, language and religion.
Let the occasion be celebrated in its true spirit and I pray that it will usher in an era of peace and prosperity", the Governor added.
Wishing the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh hoped that the festival would bring joy, prosperity and peaceful co-existence among all the people in the state.
Lok Sabha MP Dr Thokchom Meinya has also conveyed his greetings to the people of Manipur for Cheiraoba (New Year) 2013 .
In his greetings, the MP expressed his solemn desire to maintain peace and harmony amongst the people of Manipur.
"Let us all work together towards achieving a better life in the State in the days to come.
Let the Almighty God bless all of us a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2013," he prayed.
Major General UK Gurung, AVSM, YSM, IG AR (South) and All Ranks of Assam Rifles have extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Meitei New Year Sajibu Cheiraoba.
Meanwhile, various social organizations including Meihourol Inat Kanba Apunba Lup (MIKAL); Universal Mother's Organisation (UMO); Meitei Inat Semgat Lup, Chanam Santhok; Salai Taret Enat Saktam Kanba Lup; Women Welfare Organisation, Kangleipak; All Manipur Intellectual Forum (AMIF) and Universal Progressive Club, Khurai Thoudam Leikai have also extended their greetings for Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba to all the people.
Social bodies like MIKAL; UMO; Meitei Inat Semgat Lup; Salai Taret Enat Saktam Kanba Lup; Women Welfare Organisation, AMIF and Universal Progressive Club also greeted all on the occasion.
