Nitin Gadkari set to inaugurate Makru bridge on Jul 8

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari is set to inaugurate the newly built Makru bridge on July 8 .
The bridge proposed to be inaugurated on July 2 was deferred due to the hectic schedule of the Union Minister who also holds the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises portfolio.
Ahead of his visit, the Chief Secretary has spelt out a tentative programme schedule of the Union Minister's visit to officials concerned.
The Sangai Express has learnt that the Union Minister will arrive at Imphal Airport at 11 am and reach City Convention Centre at 11.20 am by road.
At City Convention Centre, the Minister will virtually inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various projects at City Convention Centre from 11.45 am to 11.55 pm and review progress of various schemes and projects undertaken in the State at 12.25 pm .
After lunch at the City Convention Centre, the Union Minister will fly to Makru Bridge inauguration site via helicopter from Kangla and flag off transportation at Makru Bridge by 2.20 pm to mark the inauguration.
From the site, he will fly straight to Imphal Airport and leave by 3 pm .
