Rehab centre inmates, others vaccinated

Imphal, July 27 2021:
As a part of the mass vaccination and advocacy programme being conducted in private rehabilitation centres, Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) and Union of Private Rehabilitation Centre Kangleipak (UPRECK) jointly facilitated vaccination drive at Reborn Drug De Addiction Centre and Hingminashi Drug De Addiction Centre located at Langol Zone III on Tuesday.
In all, 62 inmates of the two rehabilitation centres were administered Covid vaccine during the campaign.
In a release, UPRECK secretary S Lakhikanta informed that similar mass vaccination drives will be conducted at rehab centres operating in Imphal West districts.
Meanwhile, Imphal East ZP Adhakshya P Bimola, Nilakuthi GP pradan Th Roshni along with Covid-19 Task Force Maiba Khul jointly conducted mass vaccination programme at Maiba Khul, Koirengei and Mongjam.
Around 300 people got the jab of Covid vaccine during the vaccination programme.
KAKCHING: Wabagai MLA Md Fajur Rahim, Kakching deputy commissioner, chief medical officer and Ema Hospital jointly organised a mass Covid vaccination programme at Irong Cheshaba Bazar on Monday during which 349 people were vaccinated by Ema Hospital vaccination team.
Meanwhile, District Health Society, BJP Kakching Mandal, Anjuman Nasrul Islam (Ulama-e-Association) Sora president ML Zulfiqar Alam Sheikh, Jamia Rahmania Madrassa Sora founder M Abdul Huque Qasmi and District Police under the aegis of MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar organised a mass vaccination programme at Jamia Rahmania Madras-sa, Sora Makha Leikai on Tuesday.
Similarly, SDO Keirao Bitra, SDC Tulihal, Tulihal Zilla Parishad member, Top Chingtha Gram Panchay-et pradhan, ward members, Top Chingtha Youth Progressive Organisation (TYPO), Nongpok-Ningthou Youth Club (NNYA) and Laimanai Youth Club Yairipok (LYCY) under the aegis of chief medical officer Imphal East conducted a mass vaccination programme at the shed of Top Chingtha Nongpok-Ningthou Panthoibi, Yairipok on Tuesday.
