Khurai MLA accuses Government of being biased

Imphal, September 23 2026: Khurai AC MLA L Susindro has accused the State Government of being biased against a section of the people.

Susindro is a BJP legislator who had earlier served as a Cabinet Minister.

He had recently organised a farewell function with BJP workers at his residence at Khurai Sajor Leikai.

The farewell function went viral on social media, with a photograph showing the MLA sitting in front of a banner that read, "Farewell Party, BJP Karyakarta, followed by dinner" .

Addressing the media at Khurai Sajor Leikai today, Susindro said that the State Government is not working in the interest of the public.

Claiming that there is growing dissatisfaction among the people with the Government, the MLA said that the Government must treat every citizen equally.

It is the responsibility of the Government to take up developmental projects, he said, adding that there, however, are several issues that need to be resolved.

He said that making people continue to suffer while focusing solely on developmental works would be wrong.

Susindro also said that merely taking up developmental works would not resolve the issues plaguing Manipur, including the ongoing crisis.

He added that resolving these issues would take time, but efforts should at least be made to address them.

The MLA added that the Government must work in accordance with the aspirations of the people.

Susindro said that he decided not to support the incumbent Government given the manner of its administration.

He also said that an application called Susindro Connect would soon be launched to strengthen the relationship between him and the people of Khurai AC.

Saying that he has been providing pensions to unmarried women above 40 years of age and unmarried men above 45 years from his Constituency, he said that he would assist them in constructing houses and provide other support under various Government schemes if these individuals decide to get married He also appealed to the people not to use drains as dustbins, underscoring the importance of civic sense and public awareness.
