Thoubal, July 22 2021: Charangpat Zilla Parishad, Charangpat Gram Panchayat and Thoubal district administration jointly conducted an awareness progamme on 'Covid 19 Appropriate Behaviour' and vaccination at Charangpat Mayai Leikai community hall on Thursday.

The programme was attended by Thoubal DC Rangnamei Rang Peter, CMO Dr Y Nokul, Charangpat Zilla Parishad member Ph Heramani and Charangpat pradhan Sorokhaibam Imo as presidium members.

In his address, Rangnamei Peter said that as vaccination is the only way to save ourselves from Covid-19 and help restore normalcy 30 per cent of the adult population in Charangpat GP who are yet to be vaccinated to get their vaccine doses at the earliest possible.

Whole expressing elation that majority of the population (61) in Thoubal district have been inoculated so far, the DC also exhorted all eligible people to vaccinate without delay.

In all, 137 people were administered Covid-19 vaccine during the vaccination programme.

Meanwhile, similar awareness programme on Covid Appropriate Behaviour was organised jointly by Thoubal district administration and Khangabok Part II GP at Loishang community hall in the presence of Thoubal DC and SP among others.
