Imphal, December 20 2024:
All Manipur Press Association (AMPA) informed that it along with the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BoSEM) has been putting in maximum efforts for the sake of students by taking the responsibility of publishing the required textbooks since 2002-03 and especially, amid the prevailing conflict in the state.
In a statement on Friday, AMPA informed that after some printing presses in the state were entrusted to print SSA books, almost all of the books were prepared and delivered to the Board.
Subsequently, the print order for sales was given.
However, some of the printing presses are unable to meet the deadline due to issues related to the prevailing unrest situation in the state and as such, the printing processes are likely to be delayed.
"This could lead to shortage of books and the students will place the blame on the printing presses despite the extenuating circumstances," the Association anticipated.
To prevent such a situation, AMPA appealed to the government and authorities concerned to resolve the problem surrounding the BoSEM at the earliest.
