Bishnupur, May 08 2025:
Deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram formally launched the Online Tourist Pass Issuance and Monitoring System on Thursday at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, here.
The launch event was organised by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Bishnupur.
During the event, district informatics officer Rajkumari Romita briefed the media, stating that the new system is designed to offer a seamless and user-friendly experience for tourists seeking to book tickets.
The web-based application simplifies the ticketing process by providing a convenient and efficient platform for both online and on-site bookings.
Tickets issued through the platform will be verified via an integrated QR code scanner, ensuring authenticity and preventing misuse.
Developed by NIC Manipur, the application is currently hosted at the NIC Manipur Data Centre and can be accessed at https://touristpass.mn.gov.in.
Romita further noted that the system enables administrators to generate detailed reports on the number of tickets issued.
This feature facilitates accurate monitoring of tourist footfall, supports transparency, and enables data-driven decision-making.
She encouraged all officials in attendance to utilise the web application and provide constructive feedback to support its continuous improvement.
The programme was attended by ADM Bishnupur Toijam Opendro, ASIO NIC Districts Tarakishori Rajkumari, various district level officers, and other relevant officials.
