KYKL celebrates 30th Raising Day

The proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) reportedly celebrated its 30th Raising Day on April 25 at different places across Kangleipak (Manipur) and beyond.
According to a KYKL statement, the 30th Raising Day celebration was celebrated at the outfit's general headquarters, central headquarters (GHQ), 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalion, units and sections.
The main celebration at the GHQ attended by key leaders commenced after the national salute to the KYKL flag and offering floral tributes to brave revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the motherland.
Reading out of chairman's message to the people on the occasion and encouraging discussion on the same was the main highlight of the event.
The message focusing on the philosophy of Marxism to assert that economy is the backbone of a society was discussed during the event.
The chairman's view that politics is the physical manifestation of the nation's economy and sub-structure like culture, morality, religion, arts, literature, philosophy etc., are all based on economy were also dissected, the statement conveyed.
Further, the chairman's elaboration on the impact in Kangleipak (Manipur) after India annexed Manipur in 1949 and how Kangleipak became economically dependent were also discussed in the event.
The discussion continued with chairman's view on economic forces behind the current Ku-ki-Meitei conflict from the Marxist-Leninist perspective as also his view on economic reality of the Kuki-Meitei conflict.
How different communities in the land are dancing to the tune of India's funding and the need for developing a strong economic foundation to stop people from dancing to the tune of India as viewed by chairman in his message were also discussed at the event.
Another point discussed was chairman's critical observation that efforts to develop a collective economy cannot be stopped so as to convert the 'object' status people of the land are currently languishing to the status of 'subject'.
Moreh cannot be solely for the Kuki or for the Meitei but developed as economic hub for the entire people of WESEA region as critically observed in chairman's message was also discussed at the event, the KYKL statement said and reminded the people to stand united at this critical juncture to stop from dancing to the tune of India or else India will completely engulf and wipe us out from historical traces.
