Jairam calls BJP bogus, deceitful party

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh termed it absolutely bogus and lies the BJP's claim that Congress created division between the hills and valley people.
Talking exclusively to TPC on the sidelines of an election campaign programme for H Mangchinkhup Paite, Congress candidate for the Churachandpur AC seat, Jairam Ramesh said, "Congress unites and BJP divides.
The Congress brings home the message of diversity, respect and tolerance.
But BJP speaks poison, hatred and prejudice, and indulges in absolutely false propaganda".
"The Congress stands for 3 Ds - democracy, diversity and development, while PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah stand for 3 Ls - lies, lies and lies," Jairam Ramesh added.
He also said that Art 371(C) must be implemented in letter and spirit, while regretting that ADC elections have not been held for the last 3 years.
In his address to the gathering, Jairam Ramesh said that what the BJP claims itself as double engine has become a single engine government that has derailed, adding that all the Ima markets were constructed by the Congress.
The Congress leader then promised that ADC elections will be held in 6 months if the Congress comes to power.
He also alleged the saffron party of trying to abrogate 371(c) of the Indian Constitution, adding that BJP has done nothing to control drugs coming from Myanmar.
Jairam then noted that the youth of Manipur have immense talent which can be nurtured with youth oriented schemes.
He further said that tribal museum owners are not duly supported by the government and asserted that Congress government will provide support and patronization of any venture, while asking the gathering to vote for the party so as to protect democracy, women, farmers and others.
Talking to media persons at the candidate's residence, Jairam Ramesh expressed confidence that Congress will come back to power with a clear majority.
People in the hills and the valley have come to their realisation that it is only the Congress which can protect the cultural diversity of Manipur, democratic rights of the people of Manipur, which can fulfil the constitutional obligation of the people of Manipur, he said, adding that they will hold elections to all the autonomous district councils of Manipur within the first six months of "our coming into power".
Jairam Ramesh also assured of full implementation of Article 371 (C) of the constitution, setting up of Ima markets across the state and 15 such markets in all the district headquarters, creation of jobs, one-third reservation for women in all government jobs, adding that Congress party had made a pledge to the farmers minimum support price as well as to facilitate one crop farmers become multiple croppers.
He promised that Manipur will become self sufficient in rice production because majority of the rice consumed in Manipur comes from outside the state and "we are going to promote industry trade and 50,000 jobs per year will be created for the youth of Manipur".
Jairam further said, "The BJP government has become the Bharatiya Jumla Party and not Bharatiya Janata Party - it is all drama or theatrical.
He further said, "The BJP Hindutva stands for one ideology, one language, one religion, one book, one God, one holy place and one culture.
This is totally impossible in India because India is one nation, one people and different languages and religions and also different regions; it is a unique country.
Diversity has denned India and the BJP is using diversity to divide India".
Jairam claimed that Rahul Gandhi's rally drew double the crowd than Narendra Modi's and the crowd's response was wonderful as Rahul Gandhi gave a clear message that they are here to protect the diversity of Manipur.
He then said, "BJP follows all the policies laid down by the Congress during their governance and called their policy as recycled, repackaged, renamed, re-branded - that is the four R's .
