Many continue to extend aid to needy

Imphal, May 31 2021: With Covid-19 positivity and fatality rates in the state increasing alarming and prolonged imposition of curfew to contain the virus affecting the people, many continue to extend aid in the form of edible items, essential goods and cash to the needy people, particularly those living in areas that have been notified as containment zones.

In connection with the observance of Seva Hi Sangathan-II, which commemorates the 7th years of BJP led government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, BJP Manipur Pradesh Maha Sanghathan mantri Abhay Kumar Giri, BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha and BJP Kis- han Morcha Manipur Pradesh vice president Mutum Dineshwar Singh (International Awardee), provided edible items along with essential materials to children homes, CHIC and households in containment zones.

On the other hand, Airtel, Babupara and Ratan Chettry of Mantripukhri extended edible items along with face masks and hand sanitizer to destitute children home located at Lei-Ingkhol, Chingmeirong while one Oinam Joy of Leimapokpam provided PPE, sanitizer, oximeter to Saina Institute of Medical Science Helping Group as a mark of encouragement to the free ambulance service provided by the group.

Hiyanglam AC MLA Y Radheshayam, former MLA Elangbam Dwijamani, Wabagai Higher Secondary 1996-1997 Matric Batch Group, H Kanhailal Memorial English School director cum principal H Jiten also provided relief materials and edible items to CHIC, Langmeidong.

KAKCHING: As part of 'Sewa Hi Sangathan' programme organised in connection with completion of seven years of Narendra Modi government, BJP Manipur Pradesh in-charge of department for coordination of trust and ex-candidate of 32-Wangkhem AC Laishram Thanil Meitei distributed edible items to families living within the containment zones of Wangkhem AC.

The ex-candidate distributed edible items to families of Yairipok Khoirom Mathak Leikai, Khoirom Mayai Leikai, Yairipok Huidrom Leikai, Yairipok Bishnunaha, Charangpat and other localities which have been notified as containment zones for containing the spread of Covid-19 .
