1st NE Indigenous People's Parliament concludes

The historic 1st Northeast Indigenous Peoples' Parliament (NIPP 2015) was adjourned sine die on Saturday by the Speaker of the House with the adoption of various recommendations on important agendas.
The agenda discussed during the parliament include Challenges and survival of each tribe; Human rights and human security; Economy and development; Look East Policy; b) Foreign Investment (economy); Population Influx and Identity Crisis; Economy and Development- a) Land and Natural Resources b) Water and Big Dams; Fundamental Rights - Culture, Education and Language and Fundamental Rights � Political and Economy.
The sixth and the last session of the 1st North East Peoples' Parliament (NIPP 2015) were held with Prof W Nabakumar, Dept of Anthropology, Manipur University in the chaired and as the Speaker.
In the session Grace Jajo first moved the agenda "Fundamental Rights- Culture, Education and Language." The seventh session was chaired by Prof AK Bimol, JNU, as the speaker.
In the session Dr Sapam Dilip, Lecturer LMS Law College, moved the agenda "Fundamental Rights- Political and Economy." The final recommendations of the NIPP 2015 will be declared on Sunday (December 13) at Kangshang, Khuman Lampak Sport Complex at 10 am.
