People want stability, prosperity not insurgency: Nadda
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, December 30 2021: BJP national president JP Nadda said that what the public want is peace, prosperity and stability and not insurgency and instability.

JP Nadda, who visited Imphal for a few hours, attended an election rally of youth held at Basic Ground, Kakching Chumnang Leikai on Thursday.

In his address, Nadda said that he has witnessed the energy of youth of Manipur while attending the programme and he is confident that lotus will bloom in the state with the youth as the driving force.

Youth want peace, development and sports.

In order to get these, there is a constant need to root out atrocities and oppression and BJP can bring the same in the state, he said.

The party chief also urged the people of the state to support the Biren government and stay away from blockade and bandh organisers.

The Biren government is taking the state towards the path of development and integrity.

Earlier, people used to go to government offices to get works done but under the BJP government, its officials are coming to do the work for the people at their doorsteps, he said while mentioning about benefits of different welfare schemes including national old age pension scheme and AB-PMJAY.

Nadda further said that the double engine government of BJP put its focus on three Ps - peace, prosperity and protection.

On the contrary, the previous Congress government was synonymous with bandh and blockade.

Under the BJP government, the state budget has been increased twice.

Five years ago, the state budget was only Rs 10,900 crore but today, the budget size is Rs 21,224 crore.

Similar patterns are also visible in budget shares of almost all departments including irrigation and education.

The Centre has approved Loktak Development Project and the Modi government is focusing on developing Manipur as the corridor of Act East Policy, he said.

Nadda also spoke about bringing integrity between hills and valley, promoting art and culture, implementation of ILP System, improving law and order situation, CM's Meeyamgi Numit, war on drugs, ongoing works of Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal railway line & National Sports University, constructions of multi-sports complex, improvement of road connectivity as the achievements of BJP government.

He also mentioned about skill development policy of the Modi government, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana for providing financial assistance to youth for employment generation, new education policy which brings dynamic changes in the education sector, and urged the public to support BJP in the 2022 state assembly election.

Speaking at the rally, chief minister N Biren urged the public to study how things have changed after BJP came to power in the state and called for public support in bringing about an exclusive BJP government.

BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, works minister Th Biswajit, education minister S Rajen, Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar, Hiyanglam MLA Dr Radheshyam Yumnam, ex-MLA of Bishnupur AC Govindas Konthoujam, BJP Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra, co-in-charge Ashok Singhal, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice-president Dr Usham Deben, BJP Kakching District president Usham Ibomcha, seven intending candidates of Sugnu assembly constituency - Thingnam Ibomcha, Khwairakpam Iboyaima, Yumnam Jiban, Mayanglambam Binod, Salam Birla Devi, Dr Kakyenpaibam Mukfasana and Khaidem Sharat, and BJYM Manipur Pradesh president M Barish Sharma attended the poll rally.

After attending the event in Kakching, JP Nadda interacted with BJP intending candidates in Thoubal and locals at Thoubal Keithel on Thursday.

The simple interaction programme was attended by BJP state president A Sharda, chief minister N Biren and his council of ministers.

Warmly welcoming the BJP national president JP Nadda, the local people raised slogans like 'Long live BJP', 'Long live BJP president JP Nadda' and 'Long live Bharat Mata' .
