CCpur polls 72 pc; officials, EVMs start arriving

Polling ended on a peaceful note across the four assembly segments of Churachandpur district on Friday with the poll percentage pegged at 72.42 per cent at 5 PM.
Meanwhile, polling personnel, EVMs, and security personnel have started arriving at the Mini Secretariat Campus, Tuibong from their respective polling stations.
There are a total of 289 polling stations, two special polling stations for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency with about 517 electorates and 13 special polling stations for IDPs for Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency with about 3,759 voters in the district.
Altogether 119 polling stations were managed exclusively by female personnel.
The district has a total of 1,83,109 voters, including 87,612 male, 95,492 female, and 5 third gender voters.
The AC-wise poll percentage at 5 PM were Henglep - 79.6; Churachandpur - 64.35, Saikot - 72.42, and Singhat - 79.72; while the 15 special polling stations recorded 75 per cent voting.
Two polling personnel each of the 18 polling stations were airlifted along with the EVMs in an IAF chopper and the rest of the polling teams were dispatched for their designated polling stations by road.
