Two new cases, one recovery reported

Imphal, October 13 2022: Government bulletins on Thursday reported two new positive cases of Covid -19 from two districts out of 286 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, recording a positivity rate of 0.7 per cent.

The two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are residents of Churachandpur and Imphal East districts.

Thursday also reported one recovery and the number of active cases rose to 13, out of which 8 are in home isolation.

No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.

So far, the virus has infected 1,39,835 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.

In the last 24 hours, 846 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,45,368, out of which 13,29,431 had received the second dose and 2,70,232 precautionary doses.

As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49827), Imphal East (32040), Thoubal (10295), Churachandpur (11287), Kangpokpi (3185), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9980), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3368), Kakching (6979), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1213), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
