CM urges public to avail scheme benefits
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, November 09 2021: Chief Minister N Biren on Tuesday launched the Go to Village (GTV 2.0) for Imphal East district at Takhel Youth Welfare Organisation playground.

Addressing the inaugural function of the three-day long GTV camp which is being hosted by the district administration of Imphal East, CM Biren said that there are still some political parties, which are not aware of the objective and achievement of Go to Village and Go to Hills programmes.

They are not aware how the government had distributed over 8 lakh health cards to the public through these camps out of which over 50,000 beneficiaries have received benefits under different health schemes.

Electricity connections and benefits for different government schemes are being provided under these programmes.

The government had already released books containing achievements along with photos, he said and advised all concerned to visit the camp and get a taste of the service being provided to the public.

Anchors of discussion programmes should seek details of programmes and schemes from the government so that they could make a good presentation of the facts for public knowledge.

Just having good oratory skill cannot suppress the truth, he said and urged to all to help in creating a positive vibe in the society for a better society.

He also said that India has become a global super power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his positive mindset.

It is unfortunate that 90 per cent of the population in Lamlai assembly constituency is not getting tap water.

Considering this, the government has sent machineries for installing hand pumps in some locations of the constituency.

Some individuals tried to mislead the public by making false claims of sanctioning inadequate fund in the hills but those individuals have been proven wrong after the government, produced a whitepaper on fund allocation, he said.

The politics of saying one thing in the morning and another in the night has gone.

BJP works under a principle and PM Modi does what he says.

The abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir is an example of the committed nature of BJP.

People of the state will never forget the extension of Inner Line Permit System into the state as it shows the resolve of the BJP government to protect the state and its indigenous people, he said.

The CM further said that the Go to Village mission is an initiative to reach out to the citizens and to deliver government services at the doorsteps of the people.

Various stalls of different departments and banks have been opened at camp, he said and urged the public to take full advantage of such GTV initiatives and access benefits of certain schemes being introduced for welfare of people.

Mentioning about various welfare schemes of the government, the CM maintained that the government is committed to put smiles on people's faces.

Law and order situation has improved significantly in the state under BJP rule.

India is moving ahead with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas'.

A research report published recently declared PM Modi as the World's Most Admired Mass Leader, he said.

Biren also appreciated the leadership of PM Modi for developing indigenous COVID-19 vaccine within a short period.

More than 1O0 crores people have been vaccinated in the country till now.

He then urged all to get vaccinated at the earliest to prevent the dreaded disease while adding that one can also get Covid vaccine at the GTV camp.

Responding to various memorandums submitted on the occasion, the CM assured that the Sanjenbam to Yorbung (around 8kms) and Napetpali to Andro Khoibu (around 15 kms) roads would be repaired and black-topped soon and construction of Community Health Centre (CHC), Napetpali would be completed soon.

He also directed the officials concerned to initiate re-functioning of SDO, BDO, Sub-Registrar offices at Sawombung IPR and works minister Th Biswajit said that there is peace and development in the state under the BJP government.

The aspirations and dreams of the common people have been fulfilled by the government by initiating and implementing various welfare schemes.

He also spoke about the implementation of ILP System in the state and renaming Mt Harriet of Andaman and Nicobar Island as Mt Manipur.

During the camp, CM Biren distributed assistances under various schemes including smartphones under CM e Support Scheme, textbooks, uniforms, sports equipment under education department, benefits and cards for Manipur Start Up Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT), Widows' Pension Scheme, Pension, aid and appliances for physically challenged, Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) among others.

Education minister S Rajen, TA&H minister Vungzagin Valte, agriculture minister O Lukhoi, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, advisor to CM Th Shyamkumar, MLAs Y Erabot and N Indrajit, Imphal East Zilla Parishad adhyaksha P Bimola, chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, additional chief secretaries, commissioners and other top civil and police officials were present during the function.
