Noney, April 06 2023: A district level awareness campaign on judicious usage of water under the theme "Clean water and sanitation: Empowering Communities for Sustainable Development" was organised by Public Health Engineering Department, Noney division at Longmai Part -III multipurpose hall on Thursday.

As a part of the programme, 120 motorbike riders from Imphal and hills took part in a bike rally that covered Longmai Bazar and its surrounding villages to promote water conservation.

A musical concert was also held with renowned singers such as Thangmeiso, Uttam, Sorri Senjam and Mathiuhuam performing at Longmai Common Ground' .

During the awareness campaign, resource persons shared alternative and sustainable ideas on water conservation.

The formal function was attended by DFO (Noney) Napoleon Rongmei, Longmai Area Villages Council chairman Adai Dangmei, Longmai Village Authority chairman Kasaigai Gangmei and Noney PHEDEE Thanchui Panmei.
