Indian Army celebrates Teacher's Day

On the occasion of Teacher's Day 2024, the Indian Army organised a series of events across Manipur to celebrate the invaluable contributions of educators and strengthen ties with the local communities.
At the Red Shield Centre for Excellence, also known as 'Manipur Super 50' in Bishnupur, students, with support from the Indian Army, hosted an event to honour and felicitate their teachers, said a release issued by PIB(Defence Wing) .
The event included recreational activities that helped cultivate a spirit of gratitude and strengthened the bond between students and educators.
A similar celebration took place at the Primary School in Ngankhalwai, Bishnupur, where students expressed their gratitude by honouring their teachers, followed by a series of enjoyable activities that further connected students and teachers.
In Zalenphai, Churachandpur, a special ceremony was held at 'The Living Water High School,' where teachers were recognised for their dedication.
Additionally, stationery and sports items were distributed to about 180 students.
At Leimakhong, the Army organised a series of events aimed at strengthening the bond between students and teachers.
A total of 13 teachers and 40 students from Omega English School, Leimakhong village, along with 15 teachers and 200 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya No 3, Leimakhong, actively participated in these functions.
The events included an inspiring lecture emphasizing the crucial role of education and teachers in shaping the future of students.
Cultural programmes were also held at both schools, featuring group dances, group songs, solo performances and mimicry, where students showcased their talents with enthusiasm.
