Ccpur village becoming another virus hotpot

The death of one Dimkhoching, a resident of Tuithapi village, on Sunday around 1 pm due to COVID-19 has caused fear and panic among the villagers.
She was buried later in the evening at the village cemetery.
As many other villagers are showing symptoms of COVID-19, an arrangement for conducting Covid-19 test was made in a hasty manner late in the night by 'We Care,' an NGO, after consulting with the district hospital authorities.
Covid-19 tests were conducted on 36 people, of whom 29 were found positive.
The tests were done at the district hospital after picking the villagers by an ambulance from their village.
The chief medical officer informed that one patient has been admitted in the isolation ward of the hospital and seven symptomatic patients with comorbid conditions closely monitored.
The rest have been sent back for home isolation and contact tracing is underway, the CMO added.
A mass testing was conducted for Tuithapi villagers on Monday, during which 23 people were found positive, taking the total number of positive cases to 52 .
On the other hand, the total count of COVID-19 positive cases in Muallum village of Singngat assembly constituency has reached 59 with five deaths.
