RPF lambasts AR recruitment snare

Imphal, March 21 2013: Referring to the news item about a fake recruitment ploy as reported in some sections of the local media on March 19, the proscribed RPF has appreciated people's vociferous condemnation against the unethical practice resorted to by 5 Assam Rifles in order to ensnare a young student.

The act of victimising a student from Ukhrul district studying in Don Bosco School, Senapati by sending him to the so called Army Defense Academy, Hyderabad under a deceptive recruitment process need serious introspection and should not be dismissed lightly, said a press release issued by RPF Publicity Secretary Roben Khuman.

Although Delhi bandits and their puppet rulers have been cheering themselves in the thought that Manipur is a part of free India, no amount of celebrating Indian national days on the soil of Manipur can convince that Manipur is a free Nation.

When the number of unemployed people has been increasing day by day, agricultural land shrinking every year, natural resources exploited beyond any scope of regeneration, socio-economic status plummeting to an unprecedented level and outsiders making incessant influx, no one can claim that Manipur is a free Nation.

The Indian military has been violating fundamental rights of the people of Manipur including liberty, equality, justice etc with a sinister design not to let the people of Manipur rise on their feet ever again.

At the same time, New Delhi, by employing a policy of divide and rule, has been consistently conspiring to divide the indigenous peoples of Manipur on ethnic lines with the objective of turning Manipur into a land of Indians, it alleged.

Apart from unleashing all kinds of repressive measures like rapes, murders, massacres, engineering multiple cases of forced disappearance, the Indian military in cahoot with some of their local agents have been supplying intoxicating drugs into Manipur with an ulterior motive to make the youth of Manipur spineless and morally degraded.

So far, the Indian military have eliminated 1528 people in fake encounters.

Because the Indian military provided potable water in some areas, distributed solar plates, constructed community halls, repaired roads and donated sports materials, they cannot be said to be benevolent or empathising.

These activities are nothing but shedding crocodile tears, it asserted.

The recent attempt to squeeze money out of a young student by convincing him of recruitment into AR is a new chapter in the Indian military's covert strategies.

Had the student could not escape, his life and career could have been ruined for good.

It is possible that the Indian military have indulged in similar practices of fraudulence earlier too.

It is also probable that the young students were lured and taken outside the State for trading in their organs like eyes, kidney, liver, heart etc, it alleged.

Saying that covert strategies and policies of the Indian military become clearer and clearer, the outfit alleged that the Assam Rifles two different mottos 'We are friends of Manipur peoples' and 'Friends of hill peoples' actually means 'Crooks of the Manipur peoples and Hill peoples'.

Every Manipuri people must understand that the Indian military is sent here to keep Manipur under their occupation and deny basic human rights to the local people.

Rather than associating with the Indian military, all the people of Manipur need to unite and fight together and defeat the Delhi bandits and their military, the outfit called out.
