Imphal, October 20 2024: The Assam Rifles has successfully trained and inspired 125 youths to join the Indian Army through multiple recruitment channels, said PRO IGAR South in a statement.

With the aim to encourage youths to join the Armed Forces, the AR conducted a facilitation programme on October 19 at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur for 49 candidates, who successfully cleared the Agniveer Recruitment Rally 2024 .

Further, an intensive 8-week training capsule was organized at various locations in Churachandpur district, targeting aspirants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, remote villages, and internally displaced camps.

The selected candidates will commence their army training at various locations across India in the second week of October, said AR .
