Teachers' Day celebrated at Kakching Higher Sec School

Kakching, September 05 2024: Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch organised a Teachers' Day celebration at Kakching Higher Secondary School today to pay homage to the teachers from their alma mater.

On the occasion of Teachers' Day which marks the birth anniversary of India's former president Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch offered simple gifts to the teachers of Kakching Higher Secondary School, erstwhile Kakching High School.

Eight teachers from the Batch's time in the school graced the celebration while floral tributes were paid on the photos of 25 other teachers who have since passed.

Dr N Munal Meitei, president, Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch delivered the keynote address.

Meanwhile, the oldest teacher amongst the eight, Moirangthem Mukunda Singh delivered a speech on Teachers' Day and expressed appreciation towards the Batch for organizing the celebration and reminding them about the sacred teacher-student bond.
