Imphal, August 10 2025: Officer-in-Charge of CDO Imphal East, Inspector Ningthoujam Devdas Singh has been suspended from service for "his grave misconduct" .

An order putting the Inspector under suspension was issued by the Director General of Police, Rajiv Singh today.

While a disciplinary proceeding is being contemplated against Inspector Ningthoujam Devdas Singh, OC, CDO IE for his grave misconduct, he has been placed under suspension with immediate effect, said the order.

During the period of suspension, the headquarters of the Inspector will be at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Imphal East district, and he should not leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority, it said.

This paper couldn't ascertain the reason for the suspension of the Inspector.
