Reacting sharply to a BJP minister who undermined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to Manipur, MPCC spokesperson Sanoujam Shyamcharan Singh has said that the remark of the BJP minister exposed the minister's abject lack of education.
Addressing media persons at Congress Bhawan, here, on Wednesday, MPCC spokesperson cum legal cell department chairman Sanoujam Shyamcharan Singh said that BJP government blames the mouse and Congress party respectively for the flood and total failure of administration in the state.
BJP repeatedly talks about Congress party's election manifesto mentioning distortion of Manipur and the same was made by a BJP minister to the media on Tuesday.
However, such remarks of the BJP minister exposed complete lack of education on part of the minister, he said.
While clarifying that the Congress party's manifesto mentioned about bringing peace in Manipur through reconciliation and resolution of the crisis with the consensus of all the 35-36 communities living in Manipur, the MPCC spokesperson said that ITLF indeed submitted a memorandum to Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the state few days back.
The ITLF memorandum sought to fulfil political and socio-economic goal through political settlement while pinning hope on Congress party's manifesto.
However, the BJP minister contradicted the point and blindly blamed Congress party of supporting separate administration demand of the Kuki-Zo people, he said and contended that the BJP minister is illiterate and advised for readmission in a good school to enhance knowledge in every aspect.
According to Shyamcharan, Rahul Gandhi visited Manipur to explore ways and means to bring back normalcy in the state and accordingly the BJP minister who talked against Rahul's visit should clarify or withdraw the remark.
He also said that Congress party did not instigate the crisis in Manipur.
