Tungjoy village under Paomata subdivision in Senapati district celebrated its Veymai Teithe (Tungjoy Glory Day), 2025 on January 4 and 5 at the village ground.
The grand celebration of Tungjoy Glory Day-2025 concluded on an inspiring and memorable note on Sunday, showcasing the unity and rich cultural heritage of the Veymai people.
Highlight of the celebration on the concluding day was the Veymai Hriipa Lou competition, an anthem that embodies the spirit and pride of Tungjoy village.
Six groups from the village's three localities (Khels), along with two teams from outside the village participated with enthusiasm, making the competition a display of harmony and tradition.

A deeply moving moment of the closing ceremony was the special blessing bestowed upon the entire villagers by its oldest man, Seiba Hriini.
His words resonated with the crowd gathered, symbolising a connection to the past and hope for the future.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes, recognising the efforts and dedication of the participants.
The ceremonial de-hoisting of the flag by village chairman PK Thomas marked the official end of the festivities, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd.
