Imphal, December 03 2009: The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Ukhrul today ordered to ensure production of Self Style, Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen of NSCN (IM) on the next day hearing as CBI could not produced him today in the court as per summoned.

CJM by an order issued on November 3 last asked CBI to produce the prime accuse in the sensitive murder case today.

But in the court today, CBI approached that due to certain problems they could not produced him to the court and sought another day.

After a marathon argument on the failure to produce him to the court, CJM Ukhrul, Th Saimon ordered the DMP of CBI to ensure production of Hopeson Ningshen on January 15 next year.

On the backdrop of non-appearance of three other persons who have been accused of involving in the murder- Yuhar alias Abo Chibo of Chuinem or Tainem village under Somtal Police Station of Ukhrul district, SK Them Horshang alias Themshang of Apong village under Kamjong police station of the same district and one Johni whose resident is yet to know- the court also issued warrant of arrest against them.

It also directed SP, Ukhrul district to perform the directive.

Mention may be made that after the CJM admitted the charge-sheet submitted by CBI, the case is to be transferred to the District and Session Judge, Manipur East for trial of the case.

On the other hand, CBI has the willingness to conduct the trial in a court in New Delhi.

A petition with regard to the transfer of the case filed in the Supreme Court is still pending.

SDO, Dr Th Kishan and his two subordinate staff, driver Rajen and mandol, Token were murdered by the cadres of the NSCN(IM) under the command of the Lt Col Hopeson in February this year.

Hopeson Ningshen is currently in Tihar jail where he has been keeping after NSCN(IM) handed over him to the CBI through an NGO in Dimapur in May of this year.
