SHEDA website launched

As part of its 18th-anniversary celebration, Jingvalpa, a monthly bilingual magazine launched its Self Help Development Agency (SHEDA) website (sheda.co.in).
Jangmang Haokip, former Asst Editor of the magazine and former KIM Secretary launched the website during a concert organised in connection with the anniversary celebration of Jingvalpa in the presence of Robert Hekai Kipgen, Editor Jingvalpa and other dignitaries.
Jingvalpa Editor Robert Hekai Kipgen had started a monthly saving with Rs 100 in 2009 and with the idea to promote saving habit among the people, he introduced Self Help Development Agency (SHEDA) under Jingvalpa and started various saving schemes under it since 2012 apart from Valpa Tours & Travels.
According to the Editor, there are various benefits provided under SHEDA like saving scheme, door to door (D2D) saving, loan and interest emergency fund etc, from which many people especially the poor and needy had been benefited.
He also spoke his plan to introduce more programme under SHEDA which could generate job for both educated and uneducated persons in society.
During the programme, agents who work sincerely and dedicatedly were awarded fittingly.
