Imphal, May 21 2024: The Department of National Security Studies, Manipur University observed AntiTerrorism Day today at the Department premises, supported by IQAC, Manipur University.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Professor A Rajmani Singh, Director IQAC, Manipur University as the chief guest; Col N Gojendro Singh, Commanding Officer 14-Manipur Battalion NCC as the guest of honor and Lt General Dr Konsam Himalay Singh (retd), visiting scholar, Department of National Security Studies as the functional president.

The aim of today's gathering was to enhance awareness and understanding of terrorism-related issues while emphasizing the University's dedication to national security education.

By bringing together experts, faculties, scholars, and students, the event sought to provide valuable insights into the complexities of terrorism, fostering informed discourse among learning communities.

The observation marked a pivotal opportunity for the academic community to engage with critical national security topics and peace building purposes.
