JAC seeks justice for Priyaluxmi

The JAC formed in connection with the suspicious death of Khangembam Priyaluxmi has decided to.
urge the Governor of Manipur, the chief secretary and the DGP to uncover the truth behind her unnatural death.
Addressing media persons in this regard at Ngaikhong Siphai on Sunday, JAC co-convenor Nongmaithem Bishrup stated that due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding Priyaluxmi's death, the JAC will appeal to the Governor, the chief secretary and the DGP to intervene and unearth the truth.
He further pointed out the need to raise awareness among Meetei women living in Delhi, stressing that it is far more effective to discuss and address issues before they escalate, rather than after the damage has been done.
He also urged organisations like MSAD and the Delhi Meitei Coordinating Committee to take the matter seriously.
Regarding the alleged suicide note found on Priyaluxmi's mobile phone, Bishrup mentioned that it remains unclear whether it was actually written by her.
He appealed to the public to refrain from spreading misinformation on social media, warning that legal action will be taken against those who circulate false or misleading information about the incident.
Priyaluxrhi's grandfather, Sanajaoba, who was also present at the press briefing expressed deep suspicion over the circumstances of her death, stating that it is hard to believe she would take such extreme step.
He added that it is deeply unfortunate and painful that she is being blamed even after her passing.
