Women celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Indian Army

In a heartwarming display of unity and tradition, the Indian Army celebrated Raksha Bandhan at various places across the State including Leimakhong, Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, Imphal East and Bishnupur districts of Manipur.
At Hope International School in Leimakhong, young girls tied Rakhis to the soldiers of the Indian Army.
Similarly, in Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, and Imphal East districts, women and girls from the local villages showcased their respect for the soldiers of the Indian Army by tying traditional Rakhis on their wrists.
Meanwhile, in Bishnupur district, Rakhi ceremonies were held at various locations, including Tronglaobi, Haotak and Sunusiphai relief camps.
Local women and girls tied Rakhis to the soldiers, who reciprocated with sweets as a token of gratitude.
The soldiers also went door-to-door in Phougakchao, distributing sweets and receiving Rakhis.
The event was followed by a traditional feast.
The event underscored deep-rooted cultural ties nurturing relationships within the community, embodying the enduring bond between the protectors of the nation and the future generation.
The event was filled with smiles and warmth, fostering a sense of patriotism and unity among the young minds.
The Raksha Bandhan celebrations across Manipur showcased the cultural heritage of the region and reinforced the commitment of the Indian Army to safeguard and unite the communities they serve throughout the country.
