Kakching, August 10 2025: The Kakching District Yogasana Sports Association (KDYSA), in collaboration with District Administration Kakching and 28th Sector Assam Rifles, launched a "Yoga Sunday" anda tree plantation programme at Kakching Garden today.

The initiative themed "Clean,Healthy & Green India-Nurturing Wellness, Fostering Harmony", will be held every Sunday.

The launch event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kakching, Rohit Anand; SP Kakching Priyadarshini Laishram; and Ex-MLA of Kakching and Kakching Garden DevelopmentTrust, chairman Y Surchandra as presidium members.

KDYSA secretary N Aken said the programme aims to maintain cleanliness in surrounding areas, combat environmental degradation caused by excessive tree cutting and to promote a healthy society.
