CCPur, July 09 2024: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Indian Army, organized 'A Day with Company Commander' for the residents of Tharoilok village in Churachandpur district today.

The event has been planned under the theme of 'Resilience and Renewal: Empowering Remote Villages', and to strengthen the bond between the Indian Armed Forqes and local communities.

70 villagers participated in the interactive session that included a prologue to Kargil Vijay Diwas and its gallant stories.

A tree plantation drive was also organised wherein 75 trees of various types were planted by the villagers.

An Army doctor carried out medical check-up of the visitors.

Villagers were assured of support in healthcare, education and development projects for overall well being of the community.
