Congress to hold Tiranga rally today

In solidarity with the armed forces involved in Operation Sindoor, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) will take out a Tiranga rally in the state on Friday.
Announcing this at Congress Bhawan, here, on Thursday, MPCC senior spokesperson N Bupenda said the rally is in support of the armed forces and as instructed by AICC general secretary Raj Gopal Reddy on Wednesday.
He said that the rally, which is expected to be participated by the CLP leader O Ibobi, CWC member Gaikhangam and other party leaders, will be flagged off from Congress Bhawan around 9 am Friday and return to the starting point after covering North AOC.
A CWC meeting had been held in connection with Operation Sindoor, Bupenda said, adding that an all India political party meeting was convened in Delhi, wherein Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi had expressed their solidarity with the Indian armed forces and extended supported to the decision taken by the government of India.
Other Congress leaders have also voiced their support for the armed forces, he said.
The senior spokesperson continued that in Manipur, under the leadership of MPCC president K Meghachandra, all activities related to the party are being carried out in both the hills and the valley, including the on-going 'Samvidhan Bachao' campaign.
However, it was decided during the meeting on Wednesday to suspend all scheduled programmes of the party in view of the present situation and in support of the armed forces, he conveyed.
The press conference was also attended by MPCC vice presidents Bidyapati Senjam and Hareshwar Goswami.
