LSTB to hold Langbal Chara Tamba on Sep 12

Imphal, September 06 2026: Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) will hold 'Langbal Chara Tamba' to pay homage to those who laid down their lives for the motherland in the face of aggression by Kukis demanding separate administration since May 3, 2023.The ritual will be held on September 12 at Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham, Imphal.

The Board has appealed to the public to participate in the ceremony.

Addressing media persons at Sanamahi Sanglen today, Board member secretary Sandham Gandharaj said LSTB has been observing Langbal Chara Tamba every year on the Nongma Panba day of Langbal month in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the land.

He said this year too, floral tributes will be paid to those who died following the Kuki aggression, as well as to leaders who worked for the development of Lainingthou Sanamahi faith and LSTB and for hill-valley unity.

He appealed to five members each from the families of the departed to attend the ceremony.
