Thoubal, September 05 2024: Thoubal District Congress Committee organised a condolence meeting to mourn the passing of Laimujam Manao at their office in Thoubal Athokpam today.

Laimujam Manao, who hails from Lamding in Thoubal district, was the former Finance Officer of Manipur University and a member of Manipur Public Service Commission.

He breathed his last yesterday.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.

His spouse Laimujam Ngambi Devi is the president of District Mahila Congress INC.

Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Okram Ibobi also attended the condolence meeting where the gathering paid a floral tribute and honoured the deceased by drapping him with the party flag.

On the occasion, Okram Ibobi recalled Late Laimujam Manao as a man dedicated to the welfare of the State and who believed in the ideology of the Congress party.

His death will mark a great loss to the party, said the CLP leader.
