ILP draft Bill discussed

Imphal, June 28 2018:
The committee set up by the State Government to draft a Bill for protection of indigenous people from incessant influx and the Stakeholders Consultative Committee today held a joint meeting on the Bill in the presence of Chief Minister N Biren.
The meeting held at Manipur State Assembly started at 4 pm and the Bill being prepared by the drafting committee was tabled and discussed during the meeting.
One key functionary of JCILPS which is a constituent party of the Stakeholders Consultative Committee said that they would further examine all the points of the draft Bill.
Each and every clause of the draft Bill would be discussed with all stake holders for necessary changes.
After obtaining consensus from all stake holders, a set of proposals would be placed before the Government, said the JCILPS functionary.
The meeting presided by the Chief Minister scheduled another round of meeting between the Bill drafting committee and the Stakeholders Consultative Committee on July 6 .
