CLP meeting on PM's visit

Imphal, November 26 2011:
A meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) was convened today in connection with the arrival of the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi to Imphal on December 3rd where they will be inaugurating various projects taken up under the SPF government.
The CLP meeting took place today at the conference hall of the Chief Minister's bungalow from 3pm to 6:30 pm in the evening.
The meeting is said to have decided that all congress members should take the responsibility of making the public meeting, which is to be held at Kangla, to be a grand success.
It also further decided to propose to the Union leaders to declare a special package for the state and also to increase the amount of the Old Age Pension.
The Capitol Project at Chingmeirong, High Court Complex, City Convention at Palace Compound and the Inter State Bus Terminus at Khuman Lampak will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and the UPA Chairperson in their one day visit to Imphal.
Beautifying Imphal city for their visit is in full swing and tight security arrangements have also been put in place for their visit.
