CCI celebrates thanks giving

Churachandpur, December 16 2017:
The Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) today hosted its annual thanks giving and advance Christmas at the Malsawm Initiative (A school for Children with Special Needs), MARC, Pearsonmun, Churachandpur .
It also witnesses the culmination of Christoffel Blinden Mission's (CBM India) Include Vidya Campaign (IVC) .
The event was attended by AC, CCpur Thienlaljoy Gangte, DFO, CCpur, KS Mung, InSide North East, Kangpokpi, Handicapped Development Foundation, Manipur and about 50 to 60 children with and without disabilities witnessed presentation of special items from students of TMI .

Play on learning disability by staffs of TMI, cultural dance and hymns by InSide North East, choreography by Baptist Children Department, EBCC/Zenhang Lamk and traditional dance by Child with Cerebral Palsy from HDF .
During the IVC culmination event, TMI representatives highlighted the objectives to include children with disability in the mainstream SSA schools.
They also shared report on school assessment survey, conducted in Manipur .
The survey was conducted by CCI across 300 SSA schools covering six districts of the State with their local partners; InSide North East, Handicapped Development Foundation Manipur, Spastic Society Manipur .
Advocacy Coordinator of RAISE-NE, Mr Hirohito Habib, who attended the event explained about IVC Campaign and Regional Action for Inclusive Education.
He said that the program was organised in a inclusive manner where all children participated.
He lauded CCI and Pauzagin Tonsing for organising the event in an inclusive approach .
RAISE-Ne is responsible in launching the campaign in five States of Northeast (Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, covering 2100 SSA schools in 15 districts.
